Flower Power

For this week's Sketch challenge I chose to do something very simple just like the sketch it's self.

With this week's card I also wanted the vocal point to be the wonderful

What I love about this DSP is the endless possibilities of the coloring, sponging and coloring with the Bayer, but the list just keeps going on to the possibilities.

I used the Stampin Blends to color the DSP.  They come in all different colors!!
   - Rich Razzleberry Light and Dark
   - Old Olive Light and Dark
   - Daffodil Delight Light and Dark
   - Bermuda Bay Light and Dark

Thank you for stopping by this week!  Make sure you check out the other DOstampers participating in this weeks challenge.

Baby Thank You's

I made 40 of these little note card thank you's for my Nephew and his wife as a baby gift.  They are expecting twins, can't wait to find out if it is boys or girls or 1 of each!!  I am so excited for them.

I also did a little bit more crafting and made these blocks for them as a gift.

They loved them!!

So when I started writing this post the babies had not come into the world yet.  BUT they are here NOW!!  They had 2 sweet little girls.

Butterfly Tile

Image may contain: text

For this week's challenge Stampin' Up! has a punch that looks just like this tile.  But of course the 1 thing I don't have from the catalog yet is that punch!  So I have taken a different approach to this weeks challenge.

For this week's challenge card is a technique that I am currently doing in my Technique Class that I hold once a month.   It is called "Faux Fresco".  Thank you to Lydia Fiedler for this great technique and card.

I thought this would make a great tile!!

For the background I used Watercolor Cardstock and embossed it with the Flutter Impressions folder.  Next I took Watercolor pencils and colored as shown below.  Then took a blender pen and spread the color around.

I then finished it off with white acrylic paint and the clear embossing powder to all the the raised areas.  I did add the Happy Birthday banner to just give the card a little something.  I didn't want to do to much to take away from the background.

Make sure that you stop by all the DOstamper's that are joining us in this weeks challenge.

Challenge of Critters

With all the Stampin' Up! sets that are out there, I am sure all of us have a critter in one of the sets we have!  It wasn't hard to find a critter in my sets! It seems that I have a few sets that have critters in them!!!

Thanks to Dawn Olchefske for the inspiration for this card.  I took a card that she had created and changed a few items up on the card.  I am also using this card in my Card Buffet this weekend.  I believe everyone will be making this one!

This card is made using the Petal Palette Bundle.  As shown below.  I am in love with this bundle! The bundle reminds me of Spring here in Minnesota.

Petal Palette Clear-Mount Bundle

For the background of the card I used the Petal Pair Impressions folder.  This is 1 of 2 impression folders of the set.  To color the little birdie I used the Watercolor Crayons and a Blender Pen.  The leaves, bird, design strip and the saying were all cut out using the Petals & More Thinlits.  These are shown above.  Remember if you buy this as a bundle you SAVE $$$$.

I hope you liked this weeks card.  You too can create your own project with the DOstamper's challenge each week.  Make sure you check out the other DOstamper's projects.
