Valentine Puppy

How cute is he!!!!

This cute little guy is for one of my Granddaughters, Teagan.  She is all about puppies!!  In fact they just got a new puppy, her name Como.  It is named after Como Park in MN.

Isn't she the cutest!!!!
OH and Como as well!

One of my favorite things to do in stamping is punch art!  And Stampin' Up! gives you all you need to make it easy.  The variety of punches and now their Framelits & Dies, it is endless of images that you can create.

Valentine Minion


Happy Valentine's Carson!


To start off I have to thank supermumscraftfair.co.uk for this card.  I did case it with just a minor change.

My grandson Carson just loves the  "Despicable Me" movies.  So when I came across this, I knew this would be his Valentine from Grandma.

Petite Petals Challenge


It's Thursday and time for the DOstampers challenge for the week.  This weeks challenge is a picture challenge.  Love - Love this one!  The picture has such bold colors, which is right up my alley.  With the cold weather that we are having here in MN, this gives us hope that it will be Spring soon!!


I do have to Thank Glenda Collins for the great layout!  I had cased the layout from a card that she did.

Going for the Gold!

Let's get the gold!

With the Olympics starting tomorrow night, what a perfect card to get the excitement going!  Who doesn't want the gold!!!  

I have to thank Stampin' Up! for the card today.  This is cased from page 90 in the Annual catalog.  I made a change or two, hope you like it.  I am starting to fall in love with the new Silver and Gold products that Stampin' Up! is coming out with.  They have added Washi Tape , Ribbon and more in the Occasion Catalog that is out.  If you haven't checked out the catalog yet...what are you waiting for?!?!  Also they have come out with a Card kit "Good as Gold", that you can get FREE in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog when you order $50.00 in product.  There are so many FREE products in the Sale-A-Bration catalog that you are going to want!

Starburst Sketch Challenge


Every Thursday the DOstampers are doing challenges.  They are Sketch, color and picture challenges.  This week it is a sketch challenge as you can see above.  You can also join in on the fun!!  If you do decide to participate, let me know and I will post a link of your creations that you have done.  I will also be posting links to all the DOstampers that are participating in the sketch challenge today. 

Starburst Saying's can't go wrong!!

The other day I just got another one of those Stampin' Up! boxes from the guy that wears Brown.  LOL  I was so excited to use something from that box, of course it was full of products from the new Occasions Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  If you haven't checked either of these out.....YOU MUST!!  They are so many NEW products that you are going to LOVE!

So from my box of goodies I decided to use the Starburst Sayings stamp set.  The best part of using this set is that there are Framelits that you can get to cut them out.   And of course you can save 15% when you buy both of these in a bundle.  How great is that!!  I also wanted to make it more of a manly card.  This is a challenge for me in itself.  What do you think about Chevron Ribbon?!?!  I love it!  You really can't go wrong with a Chevron pattern these days.  This ribbon is new in the Occasions Catalog.  I used the Chevron Embossing folder for the Soft Suede piece of cardstock.  Below is a list of products that I used on this card.

Minion Birthday Card

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THIS LITTLE MAN!!!
This is my Grandson Carson.

It was his birthday recently and he turned 8 yrs old!   He has been through allot the last couple of years and has been a trooper through it all.  It has made him grow up a little faster then most his age, but he has grown into such a little man.  In this picture he is eating a Chocolate cover Strawberry that I had sent to him on his birthday.  He LOVE' EM!!

Below is one of his favorite characters from the Despicable Me Movies.  He loves these movies!!!  I do have to give credit to Gill Prescott for the card.  She did an awesome card!!  When I saw it, I had to case it for Carson.

How adorable is he!!!

This Minion was so much fun to make.  I love punch art to begin with.  So making this for Carson was exciting.  Hope you enjoy him as much as I did.

Picture Challenge



Our group, the DOstampers, are doing challenges every Thursday.   We have a very talented group of ladies!!  If you would like to join us for some fun and creativity you are more then Welcome.  If you do join us, please send me a link to your post so I can post it here.  I will also post links to the DOstampers that are participating in the challenge.

Love - Love the Ampersand Embossing Folder!!

So with the picture challenge we are to look at the photo and create a card from something that we have taken away from the photo.  With this photo it was very easy to know what I was going to do.  With Valentine's Day coming soon and the hearts in the photo = Valentine's!  As I sat down to come up with the above card, I started to think of all the people that I have in my life that I love and cherish.  WOW!!!  I better get going and start making those Valentine's cards!!

In this card I used Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White cardstock.  I really like these colors together, the black makes it all pop!  The Ampersand Embossing folder is NEW, you can find it in the newest Occasions Catalog.  As always....Stampin' Up! has out done themselves again with this catalog.  The stamp sets that I used are also in the new catalog.  They are called "Language of Love" and "Perfect Pennants".   With the Perfect Pennants stamp set you can bundle it with the framlits and SAVE!

The thing that I like best about the bundles are that you can stamp your images and then go to your Big Shot and cut it out with the framelits.  How easy is that!!  No more cutting out your images, you know how time consuming that is!  This is just as easy as punching out your images.  You really have to check out all the bundles that Stampin' Up! is offering.  There are 7 NEW Bundles just in the new Occasions Catalog.
