Sketch Challenge Thursday

I know I am a little late....OK allot late.
This is challenge from last Thursday.

LOVE, LOVE the Snowflakes!

 

As I previous posted I was a little bit behind in posting my challenge card from last week.  But I had in mind what I wanted to do for this card, so I wanted to make sure you got to see it.

 

Stampin' Up! products that I used on this card.

Cardstock & Ink:  Island Indigo & Ink, Pool Party, Whisper White, Winter Frost DSP stack and of course the Bling...Silver Glimmer paper.

Stamp Sets:  Festive Flurry and Snow Day

Accessories:  Basic Rhinestones, Frosted Finishes (LOVE EM!), Big Shot and Festive Flurry Framelits.

 

The best thing about the Festive Flurry stamp set is that you don't have to cut out all the snowflakes yourself!  It has Festive Flurry Framelits that will cut them out for you. 

How great is that!!!

A little delay



These are my precious Grandkids!!!

 

They are the reason that I miss the DOstampers Thursday challenge this week.  I was crafting their Halloween gifts.  I made them the Chiclets Gum keepers, Tic Tac Holders and another treat holder for a Kit Kat Mini bar.  I know it is early for me to get this all done, but I needed to get it in the mail so they have it in time for Halloween.  These are my daughters children.  They just recently moved from here in MN to TX.  First time for all of them to be out of MN and away from Mom/Grandma.  It is a very hard adjustment for all of us at this point.  But it is getting better day by day.  I do have 2 more grandkids still here in MN that are my sons children.  Of course they are getting the same treat holders as the others ones.   You know how that goes....have to keep it the same!  LOL

 

I promise I will get the challenge card done and post it here.  Along with as many of the DOstampers links to their wonderful creations.  Today's challenge is a sketch challenge.  I will be posting in the next couple of day.

Spot Lighting HI

How cute is this!!!

 

I cased this card from a swap I received at convention this year.  The credit goes to Lorri Heiling for such a wonderful card.  When I swap with Lorri I was so thrilled to get this card.   First thing that came to mind was TECHNIQUE!!!  Besides the point that it is such a beautiful card.

 

I did use this card in a Technique Club that I hold once a month.  I think it was a great card to use your stamps in a different way.

 

Stampin' Up! products that I used in this card is as follows:

Cardstock and Ink:  Crisp Cantaloupe & Ink, Coastal Cabana & Ink and Whisper White.

Stamp set:  Secret Garden (Framelits are also available to cut out images)

Accessories:  Big Shot and Typeset Alphabet Dies

 



The one thing that I will say with this technique is that you have to press hard when stamping.  And DO NOT rock your stamp when inking it or stamping it.

Color Challenge Thursday

Great color combo!!!

 

I like challenges, it gets the creative juices flowing!

 

Our demonstrator group is having challenges every Thursday.  It could be a color combo or a sketch challenge.  If you would like to join us that would be great.  Just email me the link to your creation and I will post it here. 

The Stampin' Up! products I used to make this card are as follows:
Cardstock & Ink:  Crisp Cantaloupe, Early Espresso & ink, Daffodil Delight.  For the "Thanks"  I inked the stamp and then stamped off before stamping the Thanks.  It was to dark otherwise.
Stamp Set:  Harvest of Thanks
Accessories:  White Tea Lace Doilies, Natural Trim Ribbon, Burlap Ribbon, Vintage Trinkets, Big Shot, Pretty Print Impressions Folder & Apothecary Framelits.

I also use the NEW Envelope Punch Board!!!  This is how I made the file folder tab on the card.  If you haven't tried one of these....YOU HAVE TOO!!!  I really wasn't sold on it until I got my creative little hands on it and started playing.  All I have to say is WONDERFUL!!

I did this card for a Organized swap at convention this year.  I do have to say this year I did allot more organized swaps then I normally do and I like these allot better then just the general swapping.  General swapping of course is fun, you meet so many wonderful Demonstrators!!

Products I used in this card is as follows: 

Cardstock and Ink:  Soho Subway DSP (Love it!!), Summer Starfruit, Very Vanilla, Island Indigo & ink and Chocolate Chip & ink.

Stamp sets:  Six Sided Sampler & Chalk Talk  (Love it!!) Best part of the Chalk talk set is that you can get the Framelits to cut out the images!!

Accessories:  Vintage Trinkets (Love them!!), Crochet Trim Ribbon (Love it!!), Word Window Punch, Big Shot, Chalk Talk Framelits (I know it is getting old but Love them!!) and Alphabet Press Embossing folder.  (This is new and of course Love it!!)
