Kinda Eclectic Challenge

Welcome to another week of the DOstampers challenge Thursday.  What I love about a Sketch challenges is that it gives you your starting base for making your project and it helps make your creativity easier.

With my card and the sketch I wanted to do something a little different.  I wanted the sketch to come out in the stamping instead of layers.  I believe I accomplished that!

The stamp set that I used is one of my favorites, it is called "Kinda Eclectic".

I also added a little dimension in the background of the card with the stamp set called "Gorgeous Grunge".  This is my ultimate favorite set!

For the ribbon bow I used Early Espresso Seam binding ribbon.  I took and looped it back and forth and then took the Antique Brad and put that around it.  Added a little bling with the Gold Sequins as the ends to the bow and then wrapped a little Linen Thread behind the bow to give it that grunge look.

If you would like to join in on the DOstampers challenge you are more then Welcome too!  Below is a list of some of the other DOstampers participating in this weeks challenge.  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Balloons

For this week I decided that I was going to use something from the Occasion Catalog and of course the Sale-A-Bration catalog

For the color combo it was easy!  I used the FREE  designer series paper that you can get with placing a $50.00 dollar order.  The DSP is called Best Year Ever!  This paper is so soft in color, but yet it has the POP factor going on.  You can also get the Ribbon and Button pack that goes with this DSP FREE.

Best Year Ever Accessory Pack

For the rest of the card I used a NEW set that is in the Occasion Catalog called "Celebrate Today".  There are so many thing's that I like about this set...it is just a great set for celebration of different events, it has framelits to cut out your stamped images on the Big Shot, it has all the decorative attachments for the balloons, I could keep going on and on but you have to see it for yourself.  Below it shows the stamp set with the framelits and look at all the balloon accessories you can add to make your project even better!!

A little bit of grunge to go with the butterfly.

Color Challenge 1-29

Welcome to another week of the DOstamper Challenge Thursday.
This week we are doing a Color Combo challenge.

I am so sorry this is posting so late.  I had a family emergency last week.  All is OK!!

When I saw last weeks color challenge I just wasn't sure about the color combo.  But once you get the colors together surprisingly enough they are great together.  Blackberry Bliss is one of my favorite In Colors right now.

Loving the Color Combo!

The background Designer Series Paper is from my favorite paper that just came out in the Occasions Catalog recently.  It is called "Painted Blooms DSP".  I think what I like most about the paper it has such vibrate and bold colors, but yet soft.  I think this DSP is going to be a favorite for allot of people!!
Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up!
The flower image on the card is from a wonderful set called "Mother's Love".  This set also has great sayings for Mother's Day.  This set is a two step stamping set.   The saying on the card is from the set "Painted Petals".  This stamp set goes with the DSP that I used on this card.  Again, these 2 set are new in the Occasions Catalog.  Below is a closer look at the card.

WOW!!!  I almost forgot to tell you how I colored the wonderful silver ribbon!  I started with the 1/8" Silver Ribbon, took a Stampin' Up! sponge and the Rose Red Ink pad.  You place the ribbon onto the ink pad and with the sponge you press down on the ribbon.  Slide the ribbon across your ink pad. Repeat this step until you get the color you desire.  I did take a Kleenex and wiped off some of the ink on the Silver part of the ribbon.

Come on join in on the DOstamper's Thursday Challenges!!
