Halloween Haunt

I anxiously waited for this challenge!!  Halloween and Christmas are my favorite Holidays.  I love to go all out in decorating my house inside and out.  Best time of year!!

This is my first try at the box card.  I also used this card in my Technique Club that I hold once a month.  Of course all the members Loved it!!  And it is a perfect occasion to make one of these cards, HALLOWEEN.

For the fence I punch out stamped Crumb Cake with the Classic Label Punch and then cut them in half.  For the cute little bats I took the Bitty Butterfly Punch and the 3/4 Circle Punch to make those.  The ghost are made from the Owl Builder Punch.

I hope you liked today's card.  Make sure you check out the other DOstamper's cards for Halloween!!

Happy Stamping!

Having the Blue's?

DSC#197

This weeks DOstampers challenge I took the color scheme of the blues and grays.  I thought that it was time to make a good guy card with the colors.

I also took the effect of the clothes line and made it a banner.  To get the flags on the banner I used the framelits "Bunch of Banner."  I also used this to cut out the Birthday saying.  This set of framelits also comes in a bundle so you can SAVE!!!  Stampin' Up! has also come out with a few other stamp sets that go with this framelit set.  I love that the framelits can be used with other stamp sets!

I had seen the idea of the 3 different embossed pieces on another card somewhere and thought why not do that for a guys card!!  It doesn't make it look to girly and it adds such dimension to the card.  And for a little bit of bling I added some Star Sequins from the Metallic Pack.

I hope you like today's challenge!  Make sure you go and check out the other DOstampers!

It's a Fruity Challenge

Why do I say FRUITY????
Look at all the color names:  Pear, Peach and Watermelon!

It is good to be back with the DOstamper Challenge Thursday!

For this weeks challenge I want to try a little different water-coloring.  I think it turned out pretty good,if I say so myself.  My daughter really liked it!  And with this color set it made it really easy to do.

For the background of the card I sprayed the cardstock with water and then took my Aqua Painter and dropped different color drops where I wanted to watercolor look for the background.  Below you will see what this looks like when it is done.

The swirly flowers were cut from the "Swirly Scribbles Thinlits".   After I cut them out I took and sprayed a little bit of water on them and then took the Aqua Painter again and added some Watermelon Wonder to them.  This just gave them a softer color to go with the background.  I topped off the big flower with a little swirl out of Watermelon Wonder to give it some depth.

I finished the card off with a little bit of Copper Metallic Thread, Basic Pearls and the Hello greeting in Basic Black.  I am loving all the Metallic Threads that Stampin' Up! has come out with!!

I hope you liked today's card.  Make sure you go and check out the rest of the DOstamper's that is participating in this weeks challenge.
