Balloon for Birthday's

What do you think of when you see this picture?

When I looked at the picture it was so nice and soft, but yet let's party!!  So of course I took the let's party out of it.

Love how it turned out!

I really loved the idea of the cupcake being a balloon, so I thought I would incorporate that into my card as well.  I also took the soft colors and made them pop with a more bolder look.  I always lean towards the bold colors.

The cupcake which I turned into a balloon was made with the Ronald McDonald stamp set "Sprinkles of Life", which also has a coordinating punch that goes with it.  Stampin' Up! donates time and money to support Ronald McDonald House Charities.  To date they have contributed over $1,000,000 to RHMC and their network of local RMHC chapters.  When you buy the Sprinkles of Life stamp set, we donate a portion of the proceeds to RMHC.  Isn't this fantastic!!

The other 2 balloons came from a NEW Bundle that just came out in the Occasion Catalog.  I am so glad that Stampin' Up! has come out with bundles to SAVE everyone 15%.  This bundle is called "Balloon Celebration".  This comes with the stamp set and the punch, as shown below.  There are so many ways that you can use this set.  I also used a new tool called "Wink of Stella Glitter Brush" on the cupcake and the balloons.  It is hard to see in the above picture, so I did take a close up shown below.  LOVE these new pens!!
Look how it makes your project just POP!

I hope you enjoyed the card today, you have to check out the other DOstampers that joining along for this weeks challenge.

7 Yrs of Birthday's

Welcome back to the DOstamper Stars Thursday challenge.

This week for the challenge I had my grandson's birthday in mind when I made the card.  He just turned 7 years old.  How time has flown by!

I am loving the new number bundle that came out in the Occasion Catalog.

If you haven't seen the new Occasion Catalog yet...it is a must see!  For Hunter's card I wanted to make it fun and personable for him.  OK...I also wanted to use the numbers! LOL  When it comes to male cards I always have a hard time with the color selection.  This one took me awhile to figure out the base card color and the next layer.  Not sure why...I am usually pretty good about this.  So I went about it another way this time.  I started from my top (the 7) and went backwards.  That seemed to work allot better for me in this card.

The great Designer Series paper I used on this card comes from the Cherry On Top DSP stack.  The colors in this stack are so bright and cheery.  When putting together the layers for the circles I wanted to do something different, besides just 2 circles.  So I decided to make a balloon out of the top circle.  This was done by using the Balloon Framelits and the stamp set Celebrate Today.  For the Crushed Curry layer I ran this through the Big Shot with the Large Polka Dot Impression Folder.

I hope you liked today's card!  I know Hunter is really going to like it as well.

Here are a few more DOstamper Stars that are participating in this weeks challenge.

Soap Container

Here we are already a week later.  I missed everyone last week with our challenge.  I was sick and felt like a truck ran over me.  Doing better now and back at the stamping.

What do you think of this color combination?
I love it!!  The black makes the other 2 colors POP!

This week I wanted to change it up and do something different then just a card.  So I decided to do a 3D item instead.  Every once in a while I like to take a little bit more time and come up with a 3D item. So this is what I came up with.....
Love how this turned out!

Are you wondering where the gorgeous flower came from?  It is a new Framelit set that came out in the Occasions Catalog.  It is called Botanical Builder Framelits.  This also has a stamp set that goes along with it, you guest it, it does come in a bundle so that you can SAVE 15%.
Botanical Blooms Photopolymer Bundle by Stampin' Up!

If you haven't checked out the new Occasions Catalog it is a must see!  Stampin'Up! once again has out done themselves with all the new products and bundles.

Here is a view on the inside of the soap holder.

I did keep the inside very simply and plain.  I really didn't want to add anything on the bottom part of the box so that it would close flat.  Here is a picture to show you what I mean.

I hope you enjoyed the soap container as much as I did making it.  If you would like the direction you can email me at jntcrlsn@yahoo.com and I can get them to you.  Here are a other links to more DOstampers that are also joining in this week.  You have to go check them out!!!

REMEMBER IT IS STILL SALE-A-BRATION TIME!!!
