Bear Hug!!

How Cute will this be for my Granddaughter's Valentine?

BIG BEAR HUGS ALL AROUND!

LOVE!!!
This is a punch card that I did for a swap group that I am in every month.  I love punch art!!  The colors that I used for this card are:  Soft Suede, Real Red, Pretty In Pink and Whisper White.  I also used the NEW Glimmer paper that you can find in the Occasion's Mini Catalog.  The hair on the Teddy Bear is made from 5/8 Early Espresso ribbon.  I cut off one end and then frayed it.

Music Mania Challenge SSC#033

LOVE IT!!  The Bling is GREAT!!

In this challenge we are to take the above musical and create a card from it.  This was an easy one!  Of course I had to do the Bright - Red - Shinny theme.  LOL

Stampin' Up!'s NEW Glimmer Paper!

For my creation I used the NEW Designer Series Paper "Love Impressions" for the "I" and the "U".  If you haven't seen this DSP you really have to check it out! It is in the new Occasion's Mini Catalog.  The Heart is punched out of the NEW Glimmer Paper with a Whisper White Heart behind it.  This paper is GREAT!!  All about the Bling!  The background is Real Red Card stock which I ran through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions folder.  The small little tags are stamped from the set called "Tiny Tags" and then punched out with the Tag punch.

If you would like to join in on the fun of the Thursday challenges you can.  Just send me an email at:  jntcrlsn@yahoo.com and I will get you all the information.  If you have a blog I can link to yours or if you don't I will post your card right here.  Come on...join in the stamping fun!

My finished art project!

I used Crumb Cake, Pretty In Pink & Real Red Card stock to make the base of the card.  On the Real Red Pc I ran it through the Big Shot with the Impressions folder "Elegant Lines".  I LOVE my Big Shot!!  You can do so many different things with it.  All the different Dies, Impressions Folder that Stampin' Up! has for it, your creativity is endless.  For the leaves I used a variety of colors to give it the depth.  The colors are Wild Wasabi, Garden Green and Certainly Celery.  To get my leaves I used my Big Shot and the die called " Sizzlits Little Leaves".  The LOVE is from the new set you can find in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  It is a new Valentine's set that came out called "XOXO".  After I stamped the image I than colored in the heart with Real Red and finished it with putting Dazzling Diamonds glitter on.

I hope you enjoyed this challenge, I sure did!  Come on and join us for the next challenge.

Pixie's Recipe Swap

Peanut Butter and Chocolate...I am all for it!!

These candy treats look good enough to eat!  These recipe cards were done by a really good friend and fellow demonstrator that I know.  Her name is Pixie E.  She did a fabulous job!!

The Snowflakes on the card and the candy were stamped and them embossed to give it that 3D look.  What a great effect it has!
Love the Turkey Pixie!!

Here is Pixie's second swap recipe card.  I like how she ran her Turkey feathers through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Impressions folder.  Great idea!

Check back soon for more of the recipe swaps that I have received.

Love is in the Air

Letter Press Plate.

I love this card because it is so simple but yet, it is so elegant.  On this card I used the NEW "Lots of Love" Letterpress plate.  This is used with the Big Shot.  What is the Big Shot????  It is the BEST thing Stampin' Up! has come out with!  OK, maybe 1 of the best things.  LOL  They have been out doing themselves with every catalog.  If you haven't tried a Big Shot or if you have the Big Shot and haven't tried the Letterpress Plates. You have to try them, they are GREAT!

The Card Stock and ink that I used for this card is:  Whisper White and Real Red.  I also used the New stamp set "XOXO".  You can find this set in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  To punch out the stamped image I used the 1-1/4" Square punch and then rounded the corners with the Corner Rounder punch.  I then placed this on a Real Red Pc. that I punched out with the Scallop Square punch.  And put it all together with a 5/8 Real Red Satin ribbon.  How easy it that!!

You can always shop 24/7 Right Here!

Color Challenge SSC030

Wasn't sure about the color combination????

Once I pulled the colors and laid them on the table together, it wasn't as bad as I thought.  LOL  Actually once I started to design my card it was really easy to design with this color scheme.  I hope you like what I came up with.

Great Colors Together!!!

Well you know what color card stock that I used.  For the LOVE background I used the NEW Lots of Love Letterpress plate and Whisper White Craft Ink.  LOVE these plates!!!  You really have to check out all the great Letterpress plates that Stampin' Up! has come out with.  Check it out!  You use the plates with the Big Shot.  If you haven't used the Big Shot.....you really have to check it out!!!  I would be more then happy to help you with this.  I LOVE my Big Shot!!!  For the 3 Hearts that you see I again used the Big Shot with the Scallop Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die.  LOVE IT!!  And of course you have to add the Bling, these are the Basic Rhinestone Jewels.  The "Valentine Greeting's" is from the stamp set called "Grateful Greetings".  Great set you have to check this one out if you haven't.

If you would like to join our group in the Thursday challenges just let me know and I will forward the information to you and once you have done your project send it to me and I will post it here for everyone to see. How fun is that!!!! jntcrlsn@yahoo.com

Recipe Swap

Crazy for Cake!!

These recipe swaps are the 2 that I did.  And I have to apologize I do not remember who I got these idea's from.  If you let me know I will post here to give you credit.  For the cake I used Chocolate Chip card stock and Whisper White.  For the icing in the middle and top of cake I used the Word Window punch and then just cut it so it was wavy.  For the cake plate I used just a piece of  Night of Navy card stock and for the legs of the plate I used the Photo Corner punch with Night of Navy card stock.  The background is Chocolate Chip and Daffodil Delight card stock.
I Love how this turned out!

For my background, to get the chicken wire effect, I really used chicken wire to make it.  I took the wire and laid it on top of Whisper White card stock and sponged in with Soft Suede Classic Ink.  How great is that!!!  For the chicken I used Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red Card Stock.  The punches that I used were:  1 3/4 & 2 3/8 Scallop Circle's, Modern Label, 2 1/2 Circle, Heart to Heart and the Scallop Oval Punch.

The finished size to the pages are 6 x 6.  This fits perfectly in the Stampin' Up! books with the page protectors.

I would like to do another recipe swap sometime soon.  If you would like to join us on the next go around please let me know.  jntcrlsn@yahoo.com
