Grab Bag Challenge

This challenge was to take a card that we received that inspired us.  So....I went through my cards, swaps and Christmas cards from last year.  What inspired me the most when I went through all my cards was this one.  It was given to me in a swap last year from a very good friend of mine and a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Laurie Z.  Thanks Laurie!

Everyone can use Gift Card holders during this time of year.  And what better way to do it in a CARD!  I Love how Laurie put the holder on the front of the card, instead of inside.

Here is my version of the Gift Card Holder.

I made my holder out of Real Red and Whisper White Cardstock.  Are you asking yourself what Designer Series Paper is that???  I KNOW...isn't it great!  It is called "Candy Cane Christmas" and you can find it in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  But not for long!  I used the NEW "Northern Frost Decorative Strip" to cut out the Snowflake and then put a little bling on it with a Real Red Glimmer Brad.  These are also found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  For the "Merry Christmas" and the Snowflakes on the inside, they are from the stamp set called "Snow Swirled".  You can find this set in the Idea Book & Catalog

Did you know that you still have time to place an order and get it to make your own Gift Card Holders.  You can now shop 24/7!  Check it out here.  Just click on "Shop Now"

Snowman Hanger

How CUTE is he????

I did this card for a swap that I was in this month.  I used the 1 3/4, 1 3/8, 1 1/4 circle, Extra Large Oval, Round Tab, Word Window and the circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes punches. For the background I used the NEW Northern Flurry Impressions Embossing folder from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  After I embossed it I took a Sponge Dauber with the Frost White Shimmer Paint and went over the embossed area's.  It just gives it a nice shimmering look.  The Season Greetings from the stamp set called "Snow Swirled".  This is a great set to have for the Holiday Season.

Stamping Technique

BAM STAMPING

It is so easy!!

I have to Thank my upline, Dawn O for introducing me to this technique.  What a great and easy technique!

I used this technique in my Technique Thursday Club last month.  The club members thought this was a great technique as well.  If you would like to join me in my club you can check out all the information here.  For this card I used the Large Clear Block and put on the stamps from the set "French Foliage" on the block.  Great set by the way!  You can find this set for a limited time only in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  Then I inked up the stamps with Cajun Craze Classic Ink and stamped my images on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I finished by sponging in the spaces that was not stamped. I used More Mustard, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze cardstock and classic inks.

If you would like to join me in my next years Technique Thursday Club, which by the way will start in February, 2011.  You can email me at:  jntcrlsn@yahoo.com  Any questions you may have just let me know.

Happy Stamping!

Frosted Impressions

What a Fantastic Technique!!

Thanks to my upline, Dawn O. for this GREAT technique!

I used this technique at my last Technique Thursday Club.  In the above picture you can see how the Embossed flowers are frosted looking.  It is so easy and fun to do!  You take your piece of the Word Window sheet (114323) that Stampin' Up! sells and run it through the Big Shot (113439) using the "Petals-a-Plenty" Embossing Folder. (116824)  Then you take a Stampin' Up! sanding block and run it across the embossed areas.  This is what gives you the frosted look.  How GREAT is this!!
It is sooo EASY!!

I finished off my card my using Real Red, Whisper White cardstock.  The Designer Series Paper that I used is called "Candy Cane Christmas" which you can find in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The stamp set that I used is called "Seasonal Sentiments" which is also in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  If you haven't checked out this Mini Catalog yet, what are you waiting for!!!  Hurry before it is gone!  Oh....I almost forgot to tell you about the Snowflake, I used the NEW Decorative Strip Die called "Northern Frost".  Yes, you can also find this in the Holiday Mini catalog as well.

You can shop the Holiday Mini Catalog 24/7!

Happy Stamping!

Gift from the Grandkids

HOW ADORABLE IS THIS!!!
ISN'T IT CUTE??

My grand kids surprised me this past Mother's Day with this gift.  My daughter always make sure that the kids make me a project for Mother's Day.  As you can tell most of it is Stampin' Up!  I just had to share with you my gift.  I love how my oldest granddaughter (Briana) even painted her nails.  LOL  Carson is the middle size hand prints, he loves the crimp-er.  Too funny!!  And then we have the newest and littlest of the grand kids, Teagan.  When I look at this, it always makes me smile.

Autumn Leaves

Challenge from Nat King Cole's song "Autumn Leaves".

Our challenge was to take this song and listen to it and then make a card that goes with it.  You can listen to the song if you would like here:  Nat King Cole's Autumn LeavesWhen I listen to the song it reminded me of Autumn with the leaves falling all around you.  The earthy colors of oranges, yellows and browns.  So with all that said here is what I came up with......

I LOVE THIS SET!!!!

The stamp set that I used is one from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It is called "French Foliage".  (w 120845 & c 121166)   I am going to miss to miss this set once it is gone.  You can still get yours until January 3rd.  Just let me know and I can hook you up with one.

The colors that I used in the card are:  Crumb Cake (120953), Early Espresso (119686), Cajun Craze (119684), More Mustard (100946) and Very Vanilla (101650).  The ribbon is the Early Espresso Satin (119753) and the Crochet Trim Victoria (118481).

Gift Card Holders

How CUTE are these????

These turned out just GREAT!!

I have to Thank Vicki Burdick for the inspiration for these GREAT Gift Card Holders.  When I saw these I just had to do them.  Not only did I have to do them, I used these at my Technique Thursday Club.  Are you asking yourself right now...What is Technique Thursday club???  You can find out all the information right here.  This club is a great time!

I have used 2 of the Christmas Designer Series paper that Stampin' Up! has.  The holder on the right is using Jolly Holiday DSP.  Your colors in this DSP are:  Cherry Cobbler (one of my favorite colors), Old Olive and Very Vanilla.  The holder on the left is using the Candy Cane Christmas DSP.  The colors that are in this fabulous paper are:  Real Red, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Garden Green and Blushing Bride.  In this DSP you even get some BLING right on the paper.  You really can't tell by the picture above, but the Real Red Polka Dots and the strips  are GLITTERED.  You really have to check this DSP out!  I also used the NEW Big Designer Buttons that came out in the Holiday Mini catalog.  These buttons come in 2 different color schemes to match the DSP.  Season's Greetings comes in the stamp set "Four the Holiday's".

Halloween Cards

Wicked Cool!!
The following cards I had made for 3 of my Grandkids.  Of course they loved the candy and treats more then the card itself.  LOL  But mom liked the cards.

I would like to thank Gretchen Barron for the inspiration for this card.  She had this Treat Tube card on her blog.  I also would like to thank some other people for the design layouts on these cards.  Not sure who you are, but if you would like credit just let me know.

The above card was for my oldest Granddaughter, Briana.  I used Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight cardstock.  I used the Polka Dot Impressions folder and of course I added Bling with the NEW Black Flourish Designer Jewels.

If the Shoe Fits!

I made the above card for 1 of my Grandsons.  This one was for Carson.  He LOVED the candy part of the card!  LOL  We had to do a refill before he left yesterday.  LOL
I used Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry cardstock.  The designer paper that I used is called "Wicked Fun".  This is GREAT DSP!  The stamp set used is called "Wicked Cool".  I have to say this was my favorite set for Halloween this year.
 CUTE!!!

This cute card was made for my newest Granddaughter, Teagan.  This was her 1st Halloween.

I used Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock.  The bling that I used on this card is the NEW Black Flourish Designer Jewels.

Halloween Framed

I seen this at Convention this year and HAD to do it!!!!
Great Decor!

If you couldn't tell, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays!!! I really love how this turned out.  The best thing about doing something like this is you can change out your backgrounds.  How fun is that!

I used the NEW Decor Elements from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  Called "Spooky Things".  In this package you will get 10 different images and you can choose from colors of Black and Dark Gray.  If you recall I posted my white pumpkins earlier with the Trick or Treat on them.  These were done with the same decor package.  Check it out here.

Happy Stamping!
