A Gift of Color

LOVE these colors together.  Right up my alley!!
If you would like to join in on all the fun of the DOstampers Stars Thursday challenges just let me know and I can get you all the information.  I get so inspired with the challenges that we have.  It is so much fun!  You can just shoot me an email.  jntcrlsn@yahoo.com

Just a little gift box.
I have seen some cards while blog hopping with the little gift boxes on them...so I thought why not just make a BIG one instead, that will hold a little something ... something.

For the box itself I used the Scallop Envelope Die with the Big Shot.  I trimmed off some of the sides of the envelope to make the box open at the top.  (You will need 2 Envelopes to make the box)

The great Polka Dot background paper is from the pack of Patterns Designer Series Stack (Bright Collection).  Love using this DSP!  It makes it so easy to match up you designer paper with your projects.  It comes in all the color families.  For the bow on top of the box is made with the NEW punch that came out in the Summer Mini Catalog.  The punch is called "Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch".  You have to check these out if you haven't already!

As for the "Big Wish" saying this came from the fabulous stamp set called "Word Play".  Of course this is another great set.
Word Play #120651 Clear mount

To finish off the saying I put a little Basic Rhinestone in the middle of the star dot of the "i" in Wish.  It just gave it the bling to make it pop!  I also used 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon in Daffodil Delight for the handle of the gift box.

I hope that you can join in on all the fun that we have in these challenges next week.

Let's Start Clowning Around!

Isn't He Cute ?!?!

As I was blog surfing one day, I came across the little guy.  I just fell in LOVE with him!  I am sorry I don't remember who's blog I found this on, but if are the one please let me know so I can give you credit for him.

He is made with the Petal Cone Die and the Big Shot.  For his face I put pieces of Blushing Bride on the Petal Cone die, the rounded ends and cut those out so it would match perfectly.  For the eyes I used the small heart in the Heart to Heart Punch cut it in half.  Added the white with the White Uni-ball Gel Pen.  I then added different size circles to his hat with different colors of cardstock to liven him up.  And topped off the hat with a Big Button.

American Musical

What do you think I did with this one?

As soon as I seen the cover of this album I knew exactly what my colors were going to be.  I am sure you can guess!  This is another Thursday challenge and if you would like to join us just let me know and I will get you all the information.  jntcrlsn@yahoo.com

Never to early to get ready for the 4th of July treats!!

For the cone part of the treat holder it is made from the Petal Cone Die and the Big Shot.  I wasn't sure if I would like this die....but I am finding it to be a must have!!  If you haven't notice going through my posts...the Big Shot is my closest friend in stamping and scrapbooking!  LOL
Petal Cone Die

Below is a close up shot of the treat holder so that you can see a little bit more of the details.

For the cone I used Whisper White card stock and striped with Real Red Cardstock.  I cut off the front flap of the cone and replaced with the Red - White & Blue half pleated circle.  The Blue is Pacific Point cardstock.  I didn't have any candy on hand that match the cone, sorry, so I put some shredded paper in it with the Bling star.  You could also use this just as a door hanger as I have done here.

I hope that you will join us in the next weeks challenge!

Punched Tulip

Very Simple to do!

I have to Thank Valita's Designs for the inspiration for this card.  I saw it and had to do it!  I did  this card for a punch swap that I am in every month.  I will have to share some of the other cards that I get from the swap with you.  Making a note to do so.  So check back.

Not sure you can see it, but I used the Perfect Details Texturz Plate with the Big Shot for the background on the Whisper White cardstock.  For the Tulip Petals I took the Medium Oval Punch and the Scallop Circle punch.  You punch out the Medium Oval and then put one end into the Scallop Oval punch and punch.  This is how you get the ends of the petals to have the "V" in them.  On the petals I added some of the Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink (Illuminate Top Coat) and then used the White Accent Pen over that.  The Leaves, I punched those out using the Blossom Petal Punch and then took a Bone Folder and put a crease down the middle of the leaves. This just gives them that extra special touch.

Thanks Sketch Challenge

This one was an easy one!!
I like when I have a sketch to do a card, it makes it so easy to assemble.  All you have to do is pick out your color scheme and go for it.  With this card I wanted to make it a Thank you card.  You can always use these cards.

Want to join us in our next Thursday Challenge?  Just let me know and I will forward all the information to you.  jntcrlsn@yahoo.com

When I seen the sketch, I knew exactly what to do.

In this card I used Rich Razzleberry, Pretty In Pink cardstock.  The fantastic Designer Series Paper that matches the Rick Razzleberry cardstock is from the DSP Patterns Stack.  What is that you ask?  If you didn't know.....you can get a pad of DSP with all of the colors of one of the families or the In colors.  You get 40 Sheets:  2 ea. double-sided designs in 10 colors.  And it is 12 x 12 sheets!
It makes it so easy to put your cards or scrapbooks together.

I hope that you join us in the next challenge!

Pink & Black!  Love it!

Quick and easy..can't get any better than that!

In this card I used Regal Rose, Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock.  The great saying came from the Stamp Set called "Word Play".  Have you seen this set yet?  It is a great set with so many different saying for all occasions.
How Great is this set!!!

For the lovely swirls that you are seeing on the background I used the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines Impressions folder.  I have to say...this has to be one of the best products that Stampin' Up! has added to their long list of great products.  I use my Big Shot all the time!  For the 24-7 square note I used a new stamp set found in the Summer Mini Catalog.  It is called "Pretty Postage".  And what is even better, they came out with a punch to coordinate with the stamp set.  Now that makes it easy to get stamping!

I hope that you join me in the next Thursday Challenge!
