Isn't he adorable!!
I did a punch camp a few months ago and this was one of the cards that we did. I was requested to post it on my blog. The Stampin' Up! punches that I used were: Scallop Circle, Small Oval, Word Window, Trio Flower, 1/4" Circle, 1/2" Circle, 1" Circle, 1 3/8" Circle & 1 3/4" Circle Punch.
On the Scallop Circle you just cut out a notch in each Scallop to get the mane. His body is made up of the 1 3/4" & 1 3/8" Circles. The ears are the Word Window punch cut in half with a 1/4" circle glued to that. Feet are made of the Small Oval cut in half.
I hope you ENJOY making this CUTE Loin as much as we did.
I found your site through Dawn's blog.

ReplyDeleteHey Jan,
ReplyDeleteMy dad's b-day is coming up, and we bought him tickets to see the play The Lion King. (they are going to Vegas)...anyway, I just sat down to make his b-day card and had an "ah-ha" moment....I remembered your darling punch art lion and that's what I did for his card. Thought you would get a chuckle out of that...talk soon and thanks for sharing ;)

Hi, Jan. 'Love your little lion! I've used the Scallop Circle Punch for a "badge" shape (kind of like your mane), and here's what we did: (1) punch the Scallop Circle from cardstock; add just a dab of adhesive to the center and attach it to copy paper; put that unit back in the upside-down punch; rotate the paper until the scallops on the punch are between the scallops on the cardstock; punch again. It's a quick-and-easy way to get little points from your scallops. Enjoy! And, thanks again for sharing that adorable lion. XO Gail Murray XO
