Paper Bargello Technique

LOVE this TECHNIQUE!!
I have to Thank Dawn O. for the inspiration for this technique.  I did this technique at my last Technique Thursday Club.  The members all LOVED IT!!

I found that you really have to use a striped pattern Designer Series paper when doing this.  It just looks sooooo much better.  Bargello is a type of needlepoint embroidery consisting of upright flat stitches laid out to create interesting patterns.

We can't forget about the BLING!!

To get this look all you do is cut your DSP into strips of varying widths.  Then you just align you strips into desired pattern & adhere them to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I snailed all 4 sides of the Whisper White cardstock to adhere the DSP.  Trim off the excess DSP.  Once you have your design complete your card as desired.

I used the following items:

  - Old Olive Cardstock & Ribbon
  - Chocolate Chip Cardstock
  - Whisper White Cardstock
  - Play Date Designer Series Paper
  - Round Tab Punch
  - Itty Bitty Shapes Punch
  - 5 Petal Punch
  - NEW Jewel Basic Rhinestone

To find out more on my Technique Thursday Club you will find it here.

Thank you for Stopping By.
