A Warm Welcome

Image may contain: text

This weeks challenge is the Home Sweet Home.  I knew exactly what I was going to use for this challenge.  It is the cutest bundle in the catalog, At Home with you.

Just think of the possibilities you could create with this set!  All the Holidays, Birthdays, New Home....list can go on and on.  For the challenge this week I went with a Christmas theme.  Another on of my favorite holidays.
If I so say so myself, I love how the card turned out.

This past weekend I was at a great event for Stampin' Up! demonstrators, which by the way was an awesome event.  I will share Pics later!  At the event I was shown this technique called Polished Stone.  I used this technique to get the Brick on the background.  I also used the Brick Embossing folder which I brayered in Soft Suede before running it through the Big Shot.  For the door, garland, present and the tree planter, this is all stamped and colored with the Blender Pen.  And they are all cut out with the wonderful framelits that come in the At Home with you bundle.  This makes it such easy card.

It was hard to capture, but I did add a little sparkle with the Wink of Stella pen on the tag, garland and present.

I can wait to see what all the other DOstamper Stars have created with this challenge!!  Make sure that you check out all of the creativity.

HALLOWEEN WITH A CUTE FOLD

Image may contain: text
WHAT IS THE HOLIDAY THAT COMES TO YOUR MIND WITH THIS COLOR COMBO?

My mind went right for HALLOWEEN!  And of course it is one of my favorite Holiday's!!  It is that time of year for all the Earthy tones.  This card I am showing you I also used for my Technique class this month.  This is a class I do every year for 10 Months.  In this class you learn how to use your Stampin' Up! products in different techniques.

A while ago I received a card that had this fold,  Sorry there was no name to know who it was from or I don't even know where I got it.  So of course, I wanted to make  it with my own little twist on it.  So I added the belly band.  I wasn't sure if there is a proper name for this fold so I named it the Box fold.  Reminded me of folding a box close.

Don't you just love the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper?!?  Perfect for this color combination challenge.  This DSP just came out in the NEW Holiday Catalog.  If you haven't seen the new catalog make sure you go and check it out.  If you would like your very own catalog let me know and I can get one to you.  jntcrlsn@yahoo.com

The cute label on the belly band is new as well.  The stamp set is called "Labels to Love", it has so many awesome labels for different holidays.   And the Everyday Label punch you can get it by itself or bundle with another stamp set "Merry Little Labels".  (which is also an great set)

To finish off the card I added a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with a strip of Spooky Night DSP.  I love how it all turned out!

If you would like to join the DOstamper Stars in the Thursday challenges you are more then Welcome!   Make sure that you check out the other DOstampers creative projects for this challenge.

Halloween

Welcome back everyone!!  I am so excited to once again to be joining the Dostamper Thursday challenges.  It has been a long time since the last post.  I am back and ready to stamp and share!

It's getting to be that time!
HALLOWEEN
(one of my favorite holidays)

With the NEW Holiday Catalog out....I just had to use products from that of course!

For the background I embossed a quarter of the cardstock with the Woodland Impressions folder and then added a piece of the NEW Designer Series Paper called "Spooky Night".  I am sure you are going to like this DSP.  Did you happen to notice the ribbon on the card?  This is also NEW in the Holiday catalog.  It kind of has a scary look to it.  It is the Vintage Crochet Ribbon.

The stamp set that I used is called "Labels of Love".  What I like about this set is that there is a punch that punches out the images.  It doesn't get any easier!!  I added a little bit of color to the label using the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.    Another awesome deal that is going on right now is that you can purchase the Everyday Label Punch and the Merry Little Labels as a bundle and save!
Merry Little Labels Clear-Mount Bundle

I hope you liked this week's challenge card.  You can also join us and create your own project with the DOstamper Stars challenge.  If you create let me know and I will get it posted for you or send me your link and I will link it for you.
